I Thomas Youngman now Residing in Washington County of Orange and State of Vermont a Citizen of the United States of America I Enlisted in Ralles New Hampshire 1777 for Capt Isaac Frye's Company in ??? Col Lamoniles Regiment in General ??? Brigade for the term of three years marched to Ticonderoga was at the battle at Stillwater at the taking of Binoyou and //// other Battles ??? served out my term of three years was Regularly discharged have used no pension from government and hereby discharge ?? that may be due to me from the Government except what is provided in a later list of Congress Making provision for Officers and Soldiers ?? who served in the American Revolutionary war and am now old ??? ??? ??? and poor to the last degree therefore pray that I may be placed on the pension list agreeably to the late Act of Congress.  ??? my services in the New Hampshire line -----------------

On this 4th day of July 1821 personally appeared before the County court for said county of Orange, in open court, (said court being a court of record, agreebly to the laws of this state, having the power of fine and imprisonment, etc) Thomas Youngman aged 58 years, resident in Washington in said county of Orange who being first duly sworn, according to law, doth, on his oath declare, that he served in the revolutionary was, as follows:  as near as I can ??? I enlisted in the year 1777 in Capt Isaac Fryes Company in Scammel's Regiment Service the whole time in the New Hampshire line. that he made his original declaration on the 4th day of April 1818 has received a Pension Certificate, No. 4052. And I do solemnly swear, that I was a resident citizen of the United States on the 18th day of March, 1818; and that I have not since that time, by gift, sale, or in any manner, disposed of my property, or any part thereof, with intent thereby so to diminish it, as to bring myself within the provisions of an act of Congress, entitled "An act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and naval service of the United States, in the Revolutionary War," passed on the 18th day of March, 1818; ---and that I have not, nor has any person in trust for me, any property or securities, contracts or debts, due to me; nor have I any income other than what is contained in the schedule here to annexed and by me subscribed.

State of Vermont, I H E G McLaughlin clerk of the County court for the county of Orange, do hereby certify, that the foregoing oath, and the schedule thereto annexed, are truly copied from the record of the said court: -- And I do further certify, that it is the opinion of the said court, that the total amount in value of the property exhibited in the aforesaid schedule is $38.98.
